Lughnasadh Festival 2025

Forgan Arts Centre and Big Rock Records have joined forces for Lughnasadh Festival, a celebration of music and arts in the Centre’s lush grounds and gardens. Following the success of the inaugural music festival, Lughnasadh [LOO-nah-sah] returns with an even bigger line-up featuring:

Scottish Album of Year Award winners Kathryn Joseph (2015), Sacred Paws (2017), 2024 Mercury Prize nominee corto.alto as well as BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year 2025 Becky Sikasa, Glasgow electronic music pioneers Free Love, with Connor Liam Byrne and the Bad Kissers spreading their lipstick-stained message of rock and/or roll and the Funky Gunners DJ Collective making sure the beats go on.

One of four festivals Forgan Arts Centre hosts annually to celebrate connection to nature and turning of the Celtic wheel, Lughnasadh takes place on Saturday 2 August from 2–9pm. A small, carefully crafted, family friendly, outdoor live music and arts festival suitable for all ages, Lughnasadh channels a chilled garden party vibe taking place in the grounds of a much-loved, community-led arts centre. Alongside a stellar line-up of some of Scotland's best musicians, there will be delicious food and drinks from Scotland’s finest independent producers. Festival goers are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and find a spot across three acres of Forgan Arts Centre’s gorgeous gardens and grounds.

“A luminating, startling festival, it was great to venture northwards for a family day out featuring great performers, gorgeous talent and musical stalwarts, alongside some local food vendors, craft ciders and friendly venue staff.
Forgan Arts Centre was a fantastic suntrap and host for a festival, combining its green and sustainable practices with garden tours, screen-print crafting, and stunning live music.”  SNACK Magazine
